Jacqueline Wilson visits prize winnners Hounslow Chatterbooks group
Jacqueline visited Beavers Community Primary School in Hounslow last week. Her visit was a prize for the school which had won a UK wide competition in which primary schools were asked to outline why they want to set up a Chatterbooks reading club in their school. Jacqueline met members of the school’s newly-formed Chatterbooks group and talked to all the pupils in Years 3-6 and signed books as prizes for children at the school. Let Jacqueline guide you through a journey of her favourite stories, characters, daydreams and working processes. The exhibition includes over 60 original illustrations by Nick Sharratt, including unpublished special illustrations created for Jacqueline. It will explore how your favourite characters began including Tracy Beaker, Hetty Feather and The Illustrated Mum taking you from initial ideas and text through to her collaborations with illustrator Nick Sharratt. Be inspired to create your own stories, sit and daydream, or join Jacky’s HUGE fan base from all over the world.
