The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children works with children, young people and their families to deliver services for the benefit of young people and to stop cruelty. “We want to see a society where all children are loved, valued and able to fulfil their potential”.

The famous UK based RED NOSE DAY charity whose vision is “a world free from poverty”. The money they raise goes towards projects that help people all over the world. Jacqueline is a huge supporter and wrote Tracy Beaker’s Thumping Heart especially for Red Nose Day 2009.
The Foundling Museum in London displays the history of the Foundling Hospital, Britain’s first and London’s original home for abandoned children. It tells the story of not only the children who lived there but also of its founder, Thomas Coram. Jacqueline is a Coram Fellow of the museum and did most of her research here for Hetty Feather.
An independent charity that works to inspire people to read more. They are happy to work with anybody who want to get people reading. The Reading Agency are also home to Chatterbooks, a nationally co-ordinated reading group project for children. Up to now Chatterbooks has been running in libraries across the UK but is now expanding into schools.
