If you could be any Jacqueline Wilson character who would you be?
I've made a firm resolution to relax and enjoy life a little this year - though I'll still do lots of writing! I've sneaked off to the cinema several afternoons, and enjoyed 'Hugo' and 'The Artist' - which has the most wonderful little dog in a starring role! I've also been to the David Hockney painting exhibition in London, and gazed in awe at all his huge wonderful colourful paintings of the Yorkshire countryside. My best treat of all was going to the smash-hit show 'Matilda' - I don't think I've ever enjoyed a theatre trip more. It's the most amazing funny exciting show, with a brilliant cast. The children are especially talented. The day I went, Cleo Demetriou was starring as Matilda and she was wonderful. I was thrilled to be asked backstage after the performance and I got to meet everyone, and all the children signed my programme. Cleo showed me that the screensaver on her phone was a picture of Sapphire Battersea! I was thrilled. I'm not going to have much time for treats in February though, because I shall be whizzing all over the country doing talks and book-signings to promote 'The Worst Thing About My Sister'. I'm looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible. My little cat Jacob has made a fantastic recovery after breaking his paw so badly. I think he will always walk with a limp, but he seems very happy and content and as beautiful as ever. I'm so grateful to my brilliant vet Kavit Manro who has looked after him so splendidly.
