If you could be any Jacqueline Wilson character who would you be?
Dear Jacky, My name is Alina, I am 12 years old and I enjoy reading your books a lot. I have been having a lot of problems in my life for the past 12 years and I am stuck in a bad problem right now. I was thinking you could give me some advice because when I read your books the character salways have a solution which you think of, of course. My problem is that I have been moving to many countries. It gets quite annoying. I was originaly born in Ukraine, then I moved to Pakistan, Then I moved to Dubai (UAE), and now I'm here in Uk I live in Darlington. It's hard when you miss your friends that live so far away. It's just that know that I'm in Year 7 I'm finding it harder because I've only got one friend and I've been here for 5 months. Even my friends friends don't like me. Is it because I'm different because I move too many times to too many places? Now my friend has the chicken pox which means she wont be here for another 3-4 weeks, which isn't good news. She is my forcefeild of protection, she is the one that stops people from making fun of me. Now she isn't here, everyone's annoying me and making fun of me. Please give me some advice about How I can get more friends? If you have any ideas of why they might make fun of me? PS. Please try and reply. Can't bear the pain. With love,
Alina
Dear Alina,
It sounds as if you’ve had an exciting but very stressful life so far, living in so many different countries. I particularly envy your having lived in Dubai. I was there earlier this year and thought it a wonderful magical place. It must feel very strange and lonely just now, especially as your one true friend here is away with chicken pox. She sounds a very special girl. It’s horrible that the others at school make fun of you. It’s the saddest weirdest thing – people like to pick on others and be mean simply because they’re a little different in some way. They might have red hair or glasses or be a little bit plump or be top of the class or speak with an accent or have a strange sister or live in a posh house or be brilliant at dancing – I could go on and on! I used to be teased at school because I had permed hair so it stuck out in a frizz. It’s horrible to be picked on. I think the only thing you can do is hold your head up high and tell yourself you’re a very interesting sensitive girl who’s clearly highly intelligent and much more sophisticated than the others. When they start making fun of you try hard to sigh and shrug and even smile, not taking it too seriously. I promise you you’ll have lots of really worthwhile friends in the future. Love Jacqueline Wilson
Hi Jacky,
I'm Lottie. I'm your BIGGEST fan ever! I've read almost all of your books. They are all sooooo excellent! I absolutely adore Hetty Feather. I cried when Hetty was taken to the Foundling Hospital and separated from Jem. I can't imagine being separated from my little sister. We're sooooo close. We make up imaginary games just like Jem and Hetty, make up storys which I tell her in our own, litttle, special tent in the garden. I was so shocked at the end of Hetty Feather when I found out Ida was Hetty's mum.I even felt jealous of Eliza when she told Hetty that Jem would marry her and shared their secret squirrel house. The first ever book of yours I've read is The Lottie Project. My Stepdad, Tony, brought it for me. My mum and I would snuggle down before bed and read it. After that I've read almost all of your other books. I love the Jacqueline Wilson Mag. It is seriously cool. Before It came out my best friend, Alice, and I tried to do a play of Double Act it was really hard. But now we've got the play of it from the third issue, though we will have to gather some more people to do the play.I really want to be a writer when I'm older, just like you, so I've found your writing tips from the JW mag extremely useful.Your cat Jacob sounds so cute. I really enjoyed the articale about his life, in the Jw Mag, although it was so sad. Unfortunetly, my cat Eeyore, who I've had since I was born, has kidney disease. He has to have special food and tablets. But I still love him just as much, maybe even more! Recently I've been making a little book all about you. It's got infomation about your books and charecter profiles. You're the best ever writer! I love you and your books sooooo much! With all of my love from your forever no.1 fan Lottie x ps: Please if you can put my email on your fan club page. It would mean a lot if you would. But I understand if you can't.
Dear Lottie,I’m so pleased you enjoyed ‘Hetty Feather’ so much. I’m glad you like the Jacqueline Wilson magazine too. I’ll give Jacob a stroke from you. I’m so sorry Eyore is poorly.Love Jacqueline Wilson
