An email from Nikki, who has a lot of pets!

Dear Jacky,

I know you can't reply to everyone but it would be simply amazing if you could write a sentance or even a word to me. My favourite book is The Diamond Girls. When I finished the book I was dying to find out what happened to poor Mary, if their house got turned into the perfect home for them and if Martine's baby was a boy or girl. I can't wait to read The Longest Whale Song or My Secret Diary. They both look really interesting. What is your favourite colour? Mine's pink. That question may seem random but I would like to know a bit about you. Do you have any pets and what is your favourite animal?

I have 4 corn snakes - Rosie, Jim, Tarzan and Jane

A tortoise - Ted

Pond Fish

Sea Fish

And 2 ferrets. And my fav animal is a lion

Please reply

P.S Thank you for taking the time to read my message.

My brother and sister say Hi!

Jacqueline’s reply...

Dear Nikki,

I’m very pleased you like The Diamond Girls. Maybe I’ll get round to writing a sequel one day, and then we’ll all find out what happened next!

My favourite colours are black and silver. I have my grey and white cat Jacob. I’m fascinated by lemurs and love the way they behave. Your pets sound particularly interesting, though I think I would be a little wary of your ferrets. I was bitten by a ferret once and it really hurt!

Some questions from Emmy Rose

Dear Jacqueline Wilson,

My name is Emmy Rose and I am 10 years old. I am one of your biggest fans.

I am writing on behalf of a school club. The club is called Press Pack and it is about working with computers. We are making a magazine called The 7 11. They have asked me to email you and interview you. If that is OK with you, then here are my questions:

Where do you get all of your inspiration from?

On average, how long does it take to write a book?

What would you like for Christmas?

What’s it like working with Nick Sharratt?

Who is your BFF?

Who is your role model?

What’s your favourite sport?

Why did you become a writer?

What is your favourite colour?

Thank you very much for your attention.

Yours sincerely,

Emmy Rose

P.S. I love The Story of Tracy Beaker!!!

Jacqueline’s reply…

Dear Emmy Rose,

Here are the answers to your questions:

I don’t know where I get my inspiration from, ideas just seem to pop into my head.

It takes about six months to write a book. It’s annoying, because it only takes a couple of days to read a book.

I’d like some books for Christmas – and maybe a new ring!

It’s great fun working with Nick Sharratt. I’m so lucky.

I’ve got so many special friends, but I suppose my best friend is Trish.

I don’t really have a role model.

I’m not sporty at all, but I do like swimming.

I wanted to be a writer because I loved reading, and I loved making up my own stories.

My favourite colours are black and silver.

I’m glad you’re a Tracy fan!

#1 fan for ever!

Jacqueline’s reply…

Dear Emily,

I’ll answer your questions too!

I was born in Bath in Somerset.

I quite liked my Primary school, but I wasn’t so keen on my Secondary school.

My first published book was called Ricky’s Birthday.

I would have to have something to read!

I’m afraid I don’t get to choose where I go on tour – other people decide for me.

I’d give lots of it away to children’s charities, buy lovely surprises for my friends and family, and have a wonderful time buying all the beautiful antiquarian books I fancied.

I make my stories up.

I’m glad you love my books!
