FANMAIL REPLIES FOR MAY

Boys love Jacqueline’s books too!

Hello Jacqueline. I am Jamie from Inverness and I love your books. I am a boy which some people might find a bit strange but I still do love your books. I love your cat Jacob and I have a cat called Matilda. Maybe they could be friends? I have a letter to send but I have not sent it. Maybe I am a bit like Violet in midnight, writing letters that I haven't sent. I am currently reading Tracy Beaker the dare game! I have been up to date on your diary but you haven't said when Sapphire Battersea is coming out! I have been waiting ages! Thank you if you had time to read this!

Jacqueline’s reply

Dear Jamie,

I'm so pleased you like reading my books.  I'm sure my cat Jacob would love to be friends with your cat Matilda if only they lived nearer together.  My book Sapphire Battersea will be coming out at the beginning of October.

Nick's just started doing the illustrations for it, and they're wonderful!

Love from Jacqueline Wilson

Wait a second! Sorry Jackie I forgot something. I am having a MAJOR CRISIS!!

Let me explain. See, after reading and loving all of your books So much, it drove me to write a book of my own. It's not finished yet, but it will be soon. It's about this girl called Alex. Her and her Dad have to move from their home in North-West Wales to a new home with Dad's new girlfriend Sally and her three daughters Pansy, Primrose and Sunny. Alex doesn't want to leave her home in Wales, but decides to try and make it work, as that would make life easier on everyone!

A Breath of Fresh Air

Those are some of the titles floating around in my head but I don't know what to call the book! If you reply to my letter, will you help me chose a name for the book?

Thank you VERY VERY much for your time,

Regards,
Patricia from Ireland
