Competition

Team Hetty vs. Team Tracy egg competition!

Hetty Feather and Tracy Beaker are two of Jacqueline’s most popular heroines. The Emerald Star is coming out in paperback in July and we want to know if you are a Hetty or a Tracy fan!

Would you join Team Hetty or Team Tracy?

To show us which team you would choose we’re holding a competition…

We want YOU to create a Hetty or a Tracy egg! To get started you will need a raw egg. Ask an adult to help you with emptying the insides using these instructions:

  1. Shake the egg for at least five minutes to scramble the insides.
  2. Use a needle to pierce both ends of the egg, wiggling the needle inside each time.
  3. Wipe the egg with a cloth, place your lips over the smaller hole and BLOW.
  4. Tip: Take your deep breath BEFORE you blow or you will suck in raw egg.
  5. Wash the egg before you start decorating.

Once you have an empty egg, decorate it as either Hetty Feather or Tracy Beaker’s head! We want to see lots of creativity and imagination, so break open your paints, grab your pens use lots of glue and get decorating!

Once you have completed your egg, upload it to the Gallery here, we’ll judge the competition in July and the winner will receive an iPod touch! We’ll also send 5 runners up copies of The Hetty Feather series AND the Tracy Beaker Trilogy!

Closing date: Midnight on 4th July 2013! Good Luck!
